locked files

I was told to make mailing labels down laod pro series and transfer clients.  Did that and now it tells me another person locked files and will not work.  What do I need to do?

You transferred from ProConnect Tax Online to ProSeries? I didnt even know that was an option.

The general rule is when your computer says a file is locked by somebody else, reboot your computer and try again.

Whether or not it will work in this case, I don't know.  But this your first step you should try.

This started happening to me this past year, after upgrading all PCs to Win10.

Rebooting usually works.
