How do I import PDFs from my computer. My import data tab in the tax return only has 3 drop downs: Sch D, Depreciation, & Shareholders.
I believe ProConnect will only directly accept a 1040 to set up a first year for the client. The import you see if for import of data from a few spreadsheets or tax data from program, e.g. move depreciation from a 1040 to a 1065 when business entity change.
There is more import using Intuit Link.
@George4Tacks - how many times did you import pdfs to save you work on returns when you first started doing tax returns? I'm guessing it's pretty close to the same number as me 😁
Thanks George, the lightning bolt instructions gave me what I needed.
@IRonMaN I may have used it a bazillion times more than you did.
Honestly, like many things in my life I tried it once and I didn't like it. I found direct input was quicker and the review went much quicker because I never found the keys to input some of those weird ASCII characters importing found.
