That printed name is equivalent to a signature on the tax return, so leaving it is a good security measure to never send a return you have not signed.

Intuit should enable preparers to insert their own actual signatures entered and stored as a default
They are verrrry slowwwly rolling out Options such as this. Although it is based on Lacerte, it doesn't not yet carry all of it's flexibility.
