Economic Impact payment

Client received a Economic Impact payment in March of 2021. No payments received in 2020. No Letter 1444. Do I enter on screen 38.2 for 2020 to get a credit?

If they didn't receive the first two payments, enter zero for the amount received.

ProConnect Tax Online is a cousin of Lacerte and therefore does not recognize a zero. If you want a zero you enter a negative one (-1). 

Even the IRonMaN should remember that oddity. ;-}
