E-file Transmission Failure A return with same SSN or EIN has previously been submitted.

Hello all,

I E-filed a return with incorrect formatting of address from the employer W-2 causing an outright rejection of both federal and state from intuit. Once I corrected, I attempted to E-File again but had the following error appear. Also to note I have already de selected filing both federally and state level which worked at the fed level and has been accepted. I'm not sure why at the state level is not working. If anyone has had this issue please help.

Hi @Henryaguilar93, that rejection is not from Intuit but from the IRS.  It is stating that SSN or EIN number has already been received by them on another return.  The state rejection follows the IRS one in this case.  You would need to speak with the IRS or your client would if you have verified that the SSN/EIN was entered correctly in ProConnect.  If you have further questions, please contact ProConnect Support.
