it says "California is the only state that can be e-filed during the IRS shutdown". Do I need to change any settings before efile or helpdesk will help me to efile?
Go to profile and remove the check mark to efile Federal. You can then go in and file CA. You can then print the fed and mail it, OR wait for the season to re open and go back to Profile and add Fed to efile it (maybe remove CA).
I would suggest you call support and verify my GUESSES.
