I am going to lose my mind with this. On every single CA return I write up, I'm getting the following Critical Diagnostic: For California e-file purposes, CA state wages on Form W-2 must add up to total California wages reported on the CA tax return. It is not recommended to use State Wages, if different for CA efile returns. Instead, allocate CA wages to the main form by using the primary wages input.
All income/all W2s, all everything is sourced to CA. Nothing is entered in box 16 anywhere for W2s. This diagnostic does not make sense. How do I get this to stop?
