Amended Federal individual returns - today's installation should have allowed them, and I was able to file one which was accepted. However, now I receive a critical diagnostic for another one telling me it must be done by paper. When will this problem be fixed?

What are the reasons for amending? Certain amended returns have to be paper filed.
The more I know the more I don’t know.
