All states not appearing on Multi-State Summary worksheet

JM3
Level 1

I am filing a NJ Resident and CT Non-resident return (one employer with wages in NJ and CT).  Only the Federal and CT appear on the Multi-State Summary worksheet.  Shouldn't NJ appear also?  Am I doing something wrong that NJ does not appear on the worksheet.

I have the same problem. I am doing a multistate return: the resident return is for Nebraska and nonresident returns are for Colorado and Iowa. The Multi-State summary does not show the home state. If you know the reason or how to get the resident state to show on the Summary, please email me back.

Hi,  I called Proconnect and they said that if you have the box for full-year resident of the state checked on the input screen, then the program does not show the home state on the Multi-State Summary.  I unchecked the full-year resident box on the input screen, and then the home state did show up on the Multi-State summary.   Proconnect said the home state does not appear on the Multi-State Summary when the full-year resident box is checked because the info on summary for the Federal and home state  would be the same.  I asked about certain credits or computations that would likely be different on the home state versus the Federal return.  Proconnect said that because it is a summary those would not matter.  I am not sure about that answer, but that is what they said.
