A client files their child on their tax returns every other year and they received the tax credit in 2021. How will this impact her if the father will file for 2021?

The mother claimed the child for the 2020 tax year in 2021 and the mother received the tax credit. The father will claim the child for the 2021 tax year in 2022. How will this impact the mothers taxes?

Their is no claw back on any of the EIP (Stimulus, whatever) payments made in 2020 or 2021. There is no impact on the mother.

But is there for the advance child credit?

The more I know, the more I don't know.

I understand for the stimulus checks but I was referring to the child tax credit deposits that we received July-December 2021.
