Scams Contacting through QB Find a ProAdvisor Directory

Happy Holidays to all.    I decided to come here to ask and find out if this is becoming a routine thing.  I have contacted Intuit regarding this, but it seems there is no stopping it.

I have been contacted 6 times in the past 5 months on Find a ProAdvisor/Bookkeeper Directory by "people" who say they need my services but their stores are almost the same only with different small changes.   Example: One was an HR director who needed virtual training for his people in my area. He then told me what dates he wanted the virtual training to be done.   Another was a Movie producer who needed Virtual training to his actors as he was filming in the USA and UK.

I mean seriously?!    My instincts are screaming NO.  First off they don't give me names of businesses, phone numbers or direct emails.   Also, I did answer the first person who was a woman and since then have been receiving a bunch of junk mail with fraud "you bought this virus subscription" or fraudulent Paypal bills.

I don't respond to them as I feel they are fake or hackers and two, today in my spam email was an actual email that started out, I am a hacker and have finally hacked your account.   I didn't open it, that was what I saw in the preview pane.   I have a total AV virus/security software that does maintain my computer.

Just wanted to know how many of you have been experiencing this.

Thanks.

Lynn

It happens to virtually everybody.  Spammers and scammers are a dime a dozen these days.  Those types of e-mails end up in the trash as quickly as I can get them there.
