I have a client that uses 2007. When we set her account up, there was not a password put on the file. (she is terrible with them, even written down since her stroke). How can I open her file for her?

QB 2007, really? That reached end of life in May 2010. It was never meant to run on W10; really, it died with Windows Vista.

If you never had a password, there is no Default password; the Admin user was changed from "not revealed" to Revealed, so you put into the log in screen:

Admin

And skip password field if you never set one.
