How I Solved My Trade Deficit

BobKamman

I charge my mechanic $300 for his tax returns, but he charges me $500 for oil changes and tune-ups.  Obviously, we have a $200 trade deficit.  The formula for rectifying this is 200/300 divided by 2, or 33.33%.  So I just sent him a bill for another $100, calling it a tariff.  Feel free to do the same with your clients.

Rather than paying your tariff,  I will balance the deficit by charging the same  as you but providing 33.33% less oil.
