Why is software creating a CA SMLLC when I click on forms tab? This is a UT resident/domicile with one rental in ca (loss). I do not want any smllc generated for him.

He is a 540 NR

Look at the bottom on Screen 54 and be sure that there is no entry for California SMLLC. Are you sure the client does not have a CA SMLLC? Even as a 540NR they may have a CA SMLLC.

You could search for the the name on the 568 at https://businesssearch.sos.ca.gov/

I got thru to tech, it's a known bug. So long as the ca smllc is grayed out/ NOT BOLD you are ok, no smllc will arise.
