Why is QB not responding to invoice export from Lacerte? Permissions have not changed and Lacerte tries to open Quickbooks when it is already open. IS this a 2017 update?

I've been exporting invoices for years with no problem. I checked all of the Quickbooks permissions. This is the QB 2017 version.

Quickbooks seems to be on the new NICE list https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1749499-ty18-lacerte-security-enhancements-and-res...

Latest update is Federal 38.1128 If you are not at that, maybe it contains a correction.

Maybe @JasonAtIntuit or @ChrisIntuit could check this out and report back.

I don't know of any changes, but a common issue with the connection between QB and Lacerte is that one of the programs is set to run as Administrator while the other is not. They should both be running as the same level, otherwise they are not able to talk to each other. You can check this by right-clicking on the shortcut for either program and choosing properties, then go to the compatibility tab. Nothing should be checked on that tab, but if you really need to run one of them as Admin, you should run both as Admin for the invoice feature to work.

Neither is set to run as Admin and I have the latest version of Lacerte. This happened last May with an exempt organization and now with a 1120. Very strange.

Now it's happening with 2018. If Quickbooks is closed Lacerte will open it and export but if QuickBooks is running I get the message that Lacerte can't open QB because it is already running.
