My computer cannot seem to read the 2018 prep file. It downloads and then asks for a program to "read" it. I have no idea why it won't upload.

Here is the 2017 release schedule https://accountants-community.intuit.com/articles/1624339-2017-lacerte-release-dates Organizer released 10/25 so the 2018 release should not be too far behind.

Not really....the prep file probably exists.  But the 2018 software isn't available quite yet.

Thank you, abctax55...it seems there's a link to the 2018 prep file, but it must not yet be activated.  Sarcasm isn't helpful,IRonMaN...before you insult people, check to see if there's some truth in the issue.

Jeff wasn't being sarcastic; he is one of our most prolific *helpers* around here.  That said, he IS a PS user & doesn't speak Lacerte, so he doesn't know how our "prep file" setup works.

Susan - I did some detailed calculations and determined that in the  three years since you first posted here you have helped a grand total of 1 person - yourself.  In the meantime i’m pretty sure that I have helped at least 2 or 3 more people than you.  Once you have reached out and helped that same total of 2 or 3 folks I will gladly listen to your stupendous lecture.
