On every RI extension I filed for 2024 form RI-1040, page 2-line 14i is not calculating correctly. Is anyone else having this issue.? Line 14i is Net Payments which states to subtract 14h from 14g and enter the result on line 14i. My line 14g is $2,281 line h is zero so line 14i should be total payments of $2,281 and it is showing $5?? YET line 16 "amount over paid is correct, makes no sense!!
I already finalized and filed one RI1040 return that had an extension before realizing this software issue.
Anyone preparing a RI1040 that they had filed an extension on having this issue??? I called Lacerte tech support last week and hour and half later the rep agreed a software issue. I called today 5/28/25 and the tech stated the case was escalated and they are working on it supposedly!!
UGH!!! Very frustrating!! I am going to efile the returns as the software is as I can't wait forever for Lacerte to stop dragging their feet!! At least the bottom line is correct but certainly it will kick out of RI computers for a physical review.
