Rejection of e-filed return

I have submitted and resubmitted this return 5 different times and it keeps getting rejected saying that the spouse's social security number and name do not agree with the spouse's name control. I have tried re-entering all of the spouse's information which I know to be correct and  it is exactly what was used on the tax return for the previous 6 years. Can someone please help to get this return accepted by the IRS?

Get the spouses Social Security Card and compare to your input. The newer cards definitely show the last name on the last line of the card. This is especially true for what appears to be a hyphenated or multiple last name such as Maria Gamboa Hernandez Martinez. The SS card might show Hernandez Martinez on the last line, making the last name begin with an H.
