Maryaland Form EL-101

Jack53
Level 1

I am a tax preparer in Maryland.  I am getting an Efile diagnostic error saying that the EL101 form and instructions have not been finalized and accepted (and will print Unavailable) by MD or Lacerte so I cannot efile the MD returns.....but I called the Comptroller of Md tax office and they said that they are accepting all efilings as of January 26, 2022 and that there are no issues on their end.  I spoke to Lacerte tech support and they insist that the form and instructions have not been accepted.....is anyone else experiencing this issue??  I am on the current version of the program....I cannot get any proper stratus or answer from the Lacerte technical group.  I am unable to efile nay of my MD returns....please help!

It often takes a while to (a) get accepted by the state then (b) get that into the program.

You can see all expected release dates at https://proconnect.intuit.com/lacerte/forms-finder/

Most updates are out late Wednesday or on Thursday. It looks like you should be good to go on 2/10

It should be noted that the MD e-file is working fine on Lacerte 2021 - just no Form EL101 as of today's date.  Not that I'm recommending that you e-file a tax return for which you haven't received a signed e-file form, of course!
