Is there a way to force 2 separate Client letters to send with a return? We are now sending out federal only, with state(s) to follow later once they decide whether to exclude unemployment compensation. I'd like to have a "trail" in Lacerte of what we sent and when.

There is not a way. You can print the return with the first client letter. Then modify the letter and print the return a second time to track any changes made.
