    "IRS Devise ID"

    With the last lacerte update, when I went to e-file a return, a screen came up that said "This update of Lacerte contains support for the IRS Device ID in electronically filed 1040 Federal and State returns" .  Is this legitimate?   Is everyone else getting this screen pop up?

    I found it back in 2017 Lacerte - seems legit

    This is one of the default messages in the software. Many taxpros mark the box to do not show again to remove it from the workflow when e-filing.
