Can a file created with the LaCerte Tax Program be converted or uploaded to Turbo Tax or Tax Act?

Just because I'm procrastinating, here's what TaxAct says Importing from Another Tax Program (taxact.com) "TaxAct® can import data from PDF files of 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ returns prepared by the following software: TurboTax® and H&R Block At Home®."
Not looking to start any arguments, but PDF is a PDF is a PDF, no? Would a Lacerte PDF be comparable to TurboTacks® PDF? (Yes I know if I keep up this pace of procrastinating, I will go blind!)

Importing a PDF pretty much only imports name, address, etc. Not really anything important.

Intuit's consistent noncommittal "assistance," as is tradition, covering all its bases while confirming nothing.
