Business Basis for Depreciation Not Calculating Correctly

Folks:

Client has a 56 square foot home office in a home that is 2440 square feet, meaning that his office takes up 2.3% of the house.  The house's basis is $591,820.  Lacerte is calculating the business basis as $136,119.  But 2.3% of $591,820 is $13,611.86, not $136,119.  Lacerte is treating it like 23% instead of 2.3% (and reporting that in the Statement).

I assume I entered something wrong, but I cannot figure out what I would have entered that would cause this error.

Looks like you slipped a digit.  Take a closer look at your numbers.  If nothing jumps out at you, delete and try again.  Eyes do funny things this late in tax season.
