For a refund, it was July 15, 2020 if original was timely filed, or October 15, 2020 if filed under extension.

Agree with Susan on the general rule.  There's more to that though and it gets technical.  You may like to study this article for a detailed discussion of the rules.  Note also that refund claim related to FTC has a 10 year SOL.
