The person is Level 1 and likely not as experienced as you are in this industry. So, your cynicism is misplaced.  

It is the season of gratitude and, although I'm not perfect at feeling it or expressing it, I hope we can try to be thankful, even for "dumb" questions.

But it isn't cynicism.  I stumbled across what I thought was a Lacerte release date page the other day and all of the forms said something to the effect of "typically released within 10 days of the form being finalized by the IRS".

I like to think that there are no "dumb" questions. All questions are formed because we don't know something.

On the other hand, there are "dumb" answers from those that think they know something.
