program trying to open on its own

Starting last week when I am in Quickbooks, or  other programs the 2024 program on its own pops up with the screen for me to sign in. Then Sunday Lacerte was sending me messages to install the 2025 program and to stop  receiving the messages I had to download the 2025 program. Then this morning I had close everything out last night the screen showed the 2025 tax program at the screen to sign in.

Yesterday I spent close to one hour with tech support at Lacerte who was unable to fix the issue.

Then I called two different IT personnel who informed me that this was a Lacerte issue and not a computer issue.

Today I spent another 45 minutes on the phone with Lacerte support that said it was a computer issue.  I then called a third IT person who informed me that it was a Lacerte issue and not a computer issue.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Please advise either affirmatively or negatively.

Funky stuff.  Not a good sign of things to come for tax season.  If Lacerte and your IT people couldn't help, have you considered contacting a priest to do an exorcism?

Try the Lacerte Tool Hub https://accountants.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/system-responses/fix-common-problems-error...

1. Use tool hub to do a FORCE install (it might not have 2025 yet) [Install and selecte Websetup/force]

2. You might even want to remove the 2025 Lacerte (your data stays intact) and see if that solves the problem. After a reboot, install the 2025 and cross fingers.
