    multi state with Texas

Part-year Maryland resident and part-year Texas.  Because Texas has no tax, I've labeled that income with US.  However, on the Maryland return, the subtraction for out of state income is way too large and I can't discover where the # comes from.  Any experience?

Texas income is only $1,200 W-2 and schedule C less than $1,000.  Line for out of state income is over $12,000.  Federal return is just fine.

Do NOT add  Texas as a state to file. Use US for the state when it is TX income. My guess is that you made too many things with the state of US. Use Ctrl + E to open the batch input and look through each of the screens for US entry for state. Also check screen 1 to confirm you entered the proper resident state on 12/31 and part year return.
