    Are you asking about Amendment?

    You may choose to file an amended return for:

    2015 or later: Three years after the original due date.

    2014 or before: Five years after the original due date.

    I would think the 3 years statute of limitations would apply. https://mtrevenue.gov/2018/02/20/claim-refunds-2012-tax-returns-april-15/
