MFJ FOR FED, T LIVES IN WV, S LIVES IN PA LACERTE WON'T SPLIT INCOME TO SEPARATE STATES

Married couple, taxpayer lives in WV, spouse lives in PA (see each other on weekends).  MFJ for fed, separate for states.  Spouse has significant cap gains, dividends.

Lacerte won't separate income though coded properly to T & S.  Tried calling support 2 times but couldn't resolve.

Same situation in 2023, support tech was able to spin out two separate returns (clients) for states.

Split the return and make the T,S corrections yourself.

The split function is not perfect.
