Making a copy for an amended return

I have made a copy of the individual 2021 tax return so we can file an amended return. In the amended return, I have erased all of the statuses so we can add the new statuses as we proceed. However, the e-file complete is still attached to the amended return on the client list. If I delete the client log, will this take away e-file complete? The client log is still attached to the original return. I know there is a section for the amended return, where the file completed will be listed, but a blank in the regular location would be helpful. And hopefully, the extension section would also be blank. I do not want to try and find all of the information for the original return deleted.

I answered my own question by making an extra copy of a no longer needed return and when I erased the client log it did not remove the message e-file Complete. Can that e-file complete be removed another way?
