I spend almost all of my time out of the US after the normal tax season, handling clients on the road with no problems. Starting about 3-4 updates ago I started getting where the Lacerte updates would hang about 1/2 way through. Acts like it is still downloading but nothing is really happening. Have left the laptop for an hr 2x and downloading did not progress. Did not hang up at the same file being downloaded and have had this happen at 2 very distant locations. I have had no problems updating any other programs I have from overseas except Lacerte. Just tried to web install 2018 since I have not touched it in years and there was that mandatory web install for the new password thing. Had the same hang up situation about 1/3rd of the way through the download. Luckily I have a VPN I use for US sites that don't like me being overseas when accessing their websites. If I turn that on, then the update works like normal but the throttling by the VPN makes the update much slower. Anyone else overseas seeing the same thing? Thanks in advance!
