Every so often we go through our client list to check if they have engagement letters. The problem is that it's currently done by hand, one client at a time, one down arrow press at a time. It's painfully tedious. Is there a way to automate this, checking to see that the client has a tax return done for that year and has a file named "engagement letter.pdf" in the source documents?
If there isn't a way to do this built in, is there any API documentation that I can look through to try and slap together a way to do it via Python or something?
Press F3 and search for engagement (or maybe just eng in case someone spelt pourly!
While this does let me search for the files, this doesn't give me the granularity I need. I only care about clients that have a completed tax return but do not have the engagement letter.
