How do I login client into program to assign to a preparer?

I am not clear on your question, so here are some suggestions:

1. Across the top use Settings > Options > Preparers (tab) - Add all your preparers there and be sure to complete all of the information for each one. 
2. In the 1040 (and for all modules) Screen 1 > Miscellaneous > Preparer - there is a drop down to then select preparers that were set up in #1, above. Click the link at the bottom of the screen for the link in #1 for nice pictures.
