hello, hawaii state tax return, curently cannot efile, error msg, associated with form 4684, msg states that an update is required, has anyone seen this?

Do you have a 4684 in your return? Did you want/need it there? Sometimes a field is accidentally entered and it creates something unexpected.  Look in your Disposition screens for an entry that would trigger 4684
