    Form 1310

A deceased taxpayer has a trust company (EIN) as Trustee of the estate.  A refund is due from the 2019 Form 1040, but Form 1310 requires a SSN, not an EIN.  Any suggestions?

Estates don't have trustees, they have executors or personal representatives with court documents showing they were appointed.  IRS will accept the court order instead of the Form 1310.  But if all the assets are in a trust and no probate is required -- try filing with the EIN. Probably has to be a paper return.
