Are you preparing someone else's tax return using Lacerte, or your own using Lacerte?
Greetings New User - ,
You’ve come to an Intuit site supporting tax professionals, and you may be looking for support as an individual taxpayer. Please visit the TurboTax Help site for support of the not so professional .
Have a wonderful day!
If you are truly using Lacerte or ProConnect Tax, then clearly align with just one of them.
Whether you are a tax pro or regular taxpayer, there are a lot of gaps in your understanding of foreign national taxation (considered the statements you made and the questions you raised). As George suggested, you would do yourself justice by engaging a foreign national US tax specialist to assist you with your immediate questions and taxes (and understand the implications of your future investments).
