Hi everyone
First time poster, long time lurker.
I have had this problem plaguing our Lacerte over the past year. This is happening in 2023 and 2024 If anyone has any insight into what could be the problem. Last time I talked to Lacerte support they said that it was an AV issue and they don't support that.
Error Message
"Exception occurred in the tax engine: Failure saving Tax Manager data: Unable to write to (UNC file path)"
Environment
- Windows server 2022
- Windows 10/11
- Windows Defender AV
- Cisco Meraki Network
- Microsoft Entra joined computer
- AD joined computers
Steps already taken
- Uninstall and reinstall Lacerte
- Web setup Lacerte
- CL Packed DB
- Disable firewall
- Disable Real-time scanning
- Create exceptions in AV
- Created an RDP Server for everyone to remote into (still get error message on there)
- Verified that the UNC path is marked a secure path.
