E-File Diagnostic for New Jersey

Please correct E-file diagnostic saying that New Jersey corporate returns need a 10 digit PIN for E-file. At the moment it is not true and it should not block the return from being e-filed. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. 

Are you able to see this camera icon when typing a reply? After clicking the camera icon, a pop-up will ask you to select a file from your computer to upload.

Screen 3.2 > Taxpayer Authentication > State issued PIN

If you don't know your PIN or need other information, call the Division of Taxation at 609-292-6400, others used business name search: https://www.njportal.com/DOR/BusinessNameSearch/Search/BusinessName noted on this thread here 58819

That is what I did, but the problem is that no such PIN exists. New Jersey does not require this and this diagnostic should not come up on New Jersey returns.

Thank you.  Support says they will come out with an update to resolve the issue, but they didn't have a date for it yet.

Downloading and installing Lacerte updates 
This should be addressed in an update from last week. Here's some more info on this diag: 
2022 SCOR NJ Diagnostic Ref. 58819 Prompting for EF State issued PIN ID With Field Missing After Version 43.0712 Update

This unexpected behavior has been addressed in a program update available July 19, 2023 (Version 43.0719)

Note: If this behavior caused an e-file rejection, you will need to update the program and review your return prior to re-transmission.
