Thank you for stopping by the community and posting a question. Lacerte is not able to add a Notes column to the Client List. What you would be able to use in Lacerte is a Custom Filter, Client Notes, or Sticky Notes. Please see these knowledge bases about them:

I would love, love, love that idea also. So many times you want to add a note to explain why you cannot correct one of the other columns or a note just about that one client. Or more statuses would also help.
I would like to be able to export my client list to excel.
I haven't found a way to do that.
I could do it with Drake.

Can sticky notes be use in the Client list screen?
Welcome to the community and thank you for posting your first questions. Are you asking if a Sticky note may be placed on the Clients tab in Lacerte? If you are, then no it cannot be added to the Clients tab. What would you be using the note for if you could place it there?
That was what I was asking. When reviewing client and e-file statuses I was hoping to be able to have a note on the client tab regarding their status. Example, say I am reviewing e-file status and see that one has been rejected, it would be great to have a note beside it that say's why. The note would be something simple like "client had to paper file" or "client getting correct SS#". Another example is if we have a client that has not returned their e-file signature form, it would be great to have a note beside it to tell us that when the last time we contacted them or reason we have not received the form.
