100S Page 3, F shows date of inc and state. This comes from Screen 1 Miscellaneous (usually).
You did not give many details about the return, so try this common Lacerte trick:
Go to Forms and view the 100S. Page down to page 3. Find the entry that does not show CA and right click, then select Jump to input. That will take you to another override entry point that should solve your problem.
Where Incorporated (Question F) [O]
The program carries the entry in "Where Incorporated" on Screen 1, Client Information to Form 100S, page 2, line F. Use this field to override the program.
Note: State abbreviation print on page 2, line F only if the “Country” field in screen 42.011 is blank.
