Does anyone know what this is and how it will work for 2023?
It shows up in an email I received today from Lacerte, but clicking on the link in the email does not provide any more information than the function exists.

I turned it off years ago and keep it off.
As I recall, it will download updates as they become available and install them-even while you are working on a return.
I pay attention to when updates are available and download and install at my convenience.
The more I know, the more I don't know.

And sometimes, you don't want to be the first to download a new release (with bugs)...
Don't know why Intuit shows that as a new feature this year when the functionality was there all along. And they don't even elaborate how it's different from the past:
