Critical diagnostic ref. #56884 - "missing" phone number for deceased taxpayer

"e:file:  The entry in "Daytime Telephone #" in the Taxpayer Contact Information section of Client Information is missing.  Even though it may appear to be present with a selection of "Work", please access Client Information, select the drop down arrow next to this field and re-select the proper Daytime Telephone number value.  (ref. #56884)

There does not appear to be any way to remove this diagnostic without removing the date of death field.  Lacerte will not accept a phone number entry in any field (home, work or mobile) without a critical diagnostic if the date of death is entered.  When the date of death is removed, the diagnostic disappears.  Any ideas on how to remove the diagnostic while keeping the date of death entered for the deceased taxpayer?
