Parent's last name is missing or invalid for Form 8615, Tax for Certain Children Who Have Unearned Income.
Solution:
The 8615 is a form that must be present on a child's return to calculate the appropriate tax rate to use based on the parent's income. To fill in the last name open the Child's client file. Go to Screen 43, Certain Children (8615). Click on the Parent's Information link from the top left navigation panel. Scroll down to the Parent's Information section. Enter the Parent's Information: First name. Last name. Social security number. Or, you can create a family link for Form 8615
