The following diagnostic is generating:

For part-year residents, income earned in another state should only be reported on Sch W-2 column J if it was earned during the time you were a resident of Alabama. Please review the form to ensure its accuracy. If an adjustment is necessary, you may use the override "Additional taxable wages - other states[O]" in the wages screen under the Alabama section.

Solution:

If an adjustment is necessary, the override may be entered in screen 10 Wages, Salaries, Tips> State and Local> Alabama> Additional taxable wages - other states[O] box.

If a -1 is entered in the Additional taxable wages - other states[O] box, Lacerte will not include any of the other states' wages for AL.

Informational diagnostic, won't prevent e-file transmission.
