HOW DO I FIX THIS, NEVER ENCOUNTERED BEFORE? Solution: To resolve the diagnostic check for Lacerte updates by clicking on Tools, Lacerte updates. If the diagnostic still appears after running updates, the program detected that the \"Staff Preparer\" value in Client Information is invalid or missing. To correct the issue, please go to Client Information and re-select the correct Staff Preparer value. If there should be no Staff Preparer listed, first select a Staff Preparer from the drop down menu, and then delete it.
