The following diagnostic is generating: FTB Form 3853, Part II - Determining coverage exemptions requires comparing household income to the filing threshold. Married Filing Separate return requires comparing combined income for both the spouses with the filing threshold. ... This is a nonresident CA return. I tried checking the box stating it wasn't required, and I tried putting in the exemption that taxpayer is a non-resident all year. Neither nor the combo of both gets rid of the diagnostic.
