When there is no Kentucky tax on Form 740-NP line 14, you can clear the diagnostic by removing any entries of the "Nonrefundable LLE tax credit" on screen 53.296 (Kentucky LETT Credit). Since the credit is nonrefundable, entering it is of no benefit to the taxpayer. When there is tax, however, because Lacerte does not take the taxpayer and spouse LLET credit amounts from that screen and put them on Schedule ITC in their respective columns, you're out of luck. You will have to paper-mail the return after generating a correct Schedule ITC, either manually or through the override section Kentucky Schedule ITC on the same screen (and I'm not sure the override is working properly).
