On an electronically filed extension, {StateName} requires that the return include a telephone number for the taxpayer. Go to Client Information input screen, scroll to the Taxpayer Contact Information section, and enter a valid telephone number.
Solution:
If diagnostic not clearing once the phone number has been entered check: Settings>Options>Tax Return>Federal Tax Options>Daytime Telephone Number Screen 3>Miscellaneous>Daytime phone: 1=print, 2=print (suppress when optional), 3=suppress [O]
