Cannot clear the diagnostic for payment of tax on TN return even though there is no tax due. I have put all info in and taken it out. Neither way clears the diagnostic.
Extension: The state of Tennessee requires electronic payment of tax due on a return with the balance due. Please enter Tennessee direct debit information in Miscellaneous Information, Screen 4.1, or indicate payment made through agency website in Tennessee Miscellaneous Information, Screen 45.If there is no balance due, extension filing is not required and will not be accepted by Tennessee.
Please go to screen 12, Automatic Extension (7004), and remove the check mark from the E-file extension box under the Tennessee Extension (FAE 173) section.
