California and Oregon critical diagnostics regarding spouse first name missing and SSN missing. This is married filing separately. Spouse is non resident alien. She has no SSN and her first name is entered just fine on the federal so I don't know how to resolve these.
Solution: For the state diagnostics, you can enter "NRA" for the spouse's SSN to indicate she's a nonresident alien. This will trigger a federal diagnostic, however. Therefore, you must process the state and federal return separately. Check the box in screen 3, Miscellaneous/Direct Deposit labeled "Spouse is a nonresident alien and does not have an SSN/ITIN (MFS Only)." for the federal return.
